iPad Mini 4 to feature A8 Processor and 802.11ac Wifi

Back in October 2014, Apple unveiled the new iPad Air 2 and also iPad Mini 3. iPad Air 2 got an amazing update however, iPad Mini 3 disappointed many people. Apple took literally 30 seconds to unveil the iPad Mini 3 which retained the iPad Mini 2's A7 processor and 1 GB RAM. However, it only got the Touch ID sensor and a gold color option.

According to this rumor, Apple may release a new iPad Mini 4 with A8 processor, which is found in iPhone 6 and 6 Plus and also the the new and faster 802.11ac Wifi. This update will bring the iPad Mini on par with iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, however the iPad Air 2 will still be more powerful because of the A8X chip and 2GB RAM.

You can get the iPad Mini 3 for $399,while the iPad Mini 2 is priced at $299. This means that you are essentially paying $100 for the new Touch ID sensor and thats it!

The rumor is from a Japanese blog, Macotakara, and tells MacRumors "that there is some uncertainty with this rumor".

It is highly unlikely that we will be seeing an iPad Mini 4 next week at Apple's Spring Forward event, which many people believe will be solely based on Apple Watch.
