iOS 9 brings split view multi-tasking on the iPad, finally. This feature has been long awaited and the company finally delivers it with the latest update to the mobile OS. Similar window management has also been brought to the new OS X 10.11 El Capitan.
With this split view functionality now you can use two apps at one time. For example, browsing the web and also using the messages app or maybe while you are doing your homework, you can browse the web for information and use notes app to jot the points down. The possibilities are endless and finally Apple has taken a positive step towards content creation on iPad.
Apple always claimed that their apps are the best in the market when it comes to how they take advantage of the 9.7" form factor, however, this claim was actually firing back at them as their own OS wasn't taking the advantage of the larger screen. This feature may just confirm those rumours of iPad Pro as well.
The best part about this feature is that when you are watching video, and you close the app, the video will keep on playing and will be shown on a small window which you can move where you want. You can even resize it your liking. So basically, now you can watch a video while browsing the web, or maybe checking out your social networks.
The sad part about this feature is that it works only on few devices. If you have an iPad Air/iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 2 and above then you are in luck. iPad 2/3/4th and original iPad Mini users are out of luck.
