This Concept Imagines How Widgets can be implemented in iOS

Widgets are something that iOS users may not be familiar with however on the other side, Android users use them daily. iOS never got out of that "grid" shaped UI. Even with UI changes and flatter icons in iOS 7, Apple still didn't change the "grid" arrangement and never really let users pick their own spots for icons.
This is something that Android allows and hence with that it allows users to put widgets as well.
This concept called "Blocks" shows how even Apple can use widgets in their mobile OS while maintaining the grid factor.

It is simple yet helpful. All you have to do is make the app icon bigger with your two fingers. Thats it! No hidden settings, no options , nothing. You make the app icon bigger and it gives you detail of that app. For example if you make weather icon bigger then it will show you the temperature and forecast right on the homescreen. No need to tap on the icon and wait for the application to load.

Let's take another example. Music. You make the app icon bigger and it gives you the media controls and album artwork! How cool is that!

You still have the simplicity of iOS and there is no clutter and mess. If you dont want to make icons bigger, well you dont do it. Those icons will stay there and adjust somehow to make room for other icons if they are in the "widget" mode.

The concept is extremely simple and looks beautiful! Yep its also on iPad, lets take a look at that!

As you can see on iPad, the widgets look a lot better and that photo widget also looks stunning!
