New iOS 8 feature - 'Send Last Location' added to Find My iPhone

The foremost announcement by Apple, iOS 8, is trending worldwide on the basis of it's mind blowing new features, most never seen before on an iOS platform. The operating system was announced back on 2nd June in the WWDC 2014.

On a side note, we have already done a video on some hidden features of iOS 8 and only the important among the missed will be published here on this blog.

Today, in this article I will be discussing about an all new feature added by Apple in the Find my iPhone or Find my iPad functionality which is  "Send Last Location"
Send Last Location

Earlier, we were not able to track down our devices if they were lost in a position of drained battery but now we can. With this amazing feature now when your device's battery drains to a critical level, your iPhone or iPad will automatically send its particular location to Apple so next time when your device is lost with Find my iPhone turned on and the battery is drained to a critical level, iCloud will provide you with the last known location for up to 24 hours. This shows that after 24 hours, the feature will be useless and you have no other way but to get your self a new iPhone.

This new feature can be found in the iCloud section in the Settings App. You will find the option of Find My iPhone which when tapped will take you to another screen showing you the toggles for activating Find My iPhone (or iPad) and the Send Last Location option.
