So just few days ago I updated my iPad to iOS 7 beta 2. The whole procedure was quite easy and it went smoothly and within 2 hours I had iOS 7 running on my iPad. In this article I am going to talk about my initial impressions about iOS 7.
There is no denial that iOS was starting to get boring and stale and many iPhone users were waiting anxiously for iOS 7. The first few days after WWDC 2013 was kind of confusing for me. The new iOS 7 had some great UI changes and the new features too looked quite phenomenal but one thing that I wasn't really in favour of was "the new icons". To put simply, the icons looked liked as if some 7 year old has made them.
However, over time I started liking the icons even though I hope Apple bring some changes to these icons in the final release. Other than that, iOS 7 is just amazing. Its flatter and the removal of skeuomorphism is greatly appreciated by many. The lockscreen is different now with no more bars on top or bottom and it looks really minimal and beautiful.
Multi tasking is also different now in iOS 7. Instead of just icons now you see a preview of those apps as well similar to auxo or in Android. And if you want to remove the apps from the memory you just swipe up and the app is removed.
Now if you want to access your quick settings like Bluetooth,Wifi, or Airplane Mode you can simply swipe from the bottom and you will see control center. You can access control center from any app even from lockscreen and along side these quick toggles you get your media controls and quick access to camera and clock.
iOS 7 is great. Apart from the icons, the apps themselves look beautiful and the flatter and simple UI just looks beautiful .Seriously, once you get the taste of the new, flatter and modern iOS 7 UI, you will never go back to iOS 6.
If you want to get your hands on iOS 7 first register your UDID from a certified Apple Developer and then download iOS 7 beta 2 ipsw file from imzdl.com and then simply restore your iPad/iPhone through iTunes.
